In 2022, a group of friends came together with a shared vision of making a positive impact in their community. They founded First Counsel Giving, an organization dedicated to supporting those in need. From the US we are in constant contact with our partners in Uganda to ensure the children are getting the resources they need to go to school and stay in school.

Over the years, First Counsel Giving has grown from a small group of volunteers to a respected organization with a wide range of programs and services. We are proud to have helped hundreds of individuals and families in need.
The Brilliant Stars Learning Center is open to everyone. It provides coaching, meals and art.

At First Counsel Giving, we measure our success by the impact we have on the lives of those we serve. We are proud to have made a positive difference in our community and beyond.
Through our efforts we are enabling children who would otherwise have no access to school. Our children are orphans or children of rural farmers.
Access to education means a chance for a brilliant future for children in need.

Each child was given a glass star made by Jessica (Co-Founder) on her visit in March.
Coloring is a favorite activity at the Learning Center.
We communicate during our classes through Google Meets. - Pricillia, lives with her grandmother. Attends school and the Learning Center.
As many as 40 children attend the Learning Center per day.
The children are brave to communicate through the video. It's great to see them open to me over time - Jessica
$30 a month send a child to school for a year in Jinja.
Prize and Claire began Nursing School July 2024
Ndyamuhaki Prize Age 18 Nursing School
Prize is one of 10 children and the first in her family to attend secondary school. Prize and her entire family are grateful for the opportunity to become a nurse.
Atheire Claire age 17 Nursing School
Claire is the oldest of 4 children. She is excited to be attending Nursing School. She is looking forward to being a service to her community and an example to her younger siblings
