Founders, Partners and Board Members

Educating and feeding needy children are the main goals of our organization. 100% of donations received go directly to the children who are being sponsored. 

In 2023 my husband Gabriel and I traveled to Uganda to meet the partners that would carry out the needs of the children we would sponsor. We met so many children that just wanted to go to school. Although school in Uganda is inexpensive by US standards, for a rural farmer it is impossible to meet the requirements of the schools. We met children selling art on the side of the road for pennies just to earn money for food. 

Working with local partners we established the guidelines for how we would help the children we are sponsoring. For the most rural and older children it was agreed boarding school would give them the best chance academically. There is no electricity most of the areas the children live. No electricity and distance to school made this an easy decision. In the last two years we have seen tremendous progress from the children who have been in school consistently. It is our hope that we can continue to fund the children's education through graduation.

The official name of the organization is First Counsel Giving, Inc. This is in honor of the first Hidden Word, Hidden Words are described as:  "This is that which hath descended from the realm of glory, uttered by the tongue of power and might, and revealed unto the Prophets of old. We have taken the inner essence thereof and clothed it in the garment of brevity, as a token of grace unto the righteous, that they may stand faithful unto the Covenant of God, may fulfill in their lives His trust, and in the realm of spirit obtain the gem of divine virtue."

My first counsel is this: Possess a pure, kindly and radiant heart, that thine may be a sovereignty ancient, imperishable and everlasting. 

It is our sincere wish that we and the children we serve live up to this standard. 

Pontious obtained a secondary education in Kampala Uganda and currently works at a local resort in Bwindi. She is a tireless worker in the shared cause to serve the needs of children in her community. 

Having two daughters, Angel and Jasmine, and two sons Dylan and Liam. She has an empathy for the children in the area we are not yet able to help.

For our partnership Pontious sees to the material needs of each student attending school. This is a huge task as we have student in four different schools, each with its own requirements. Pontious also prepares meals for the orphaned and hungry children in her village. 

Denis manages the children in the Bwindi area and oversees activities at the Brilliant Stars Learning Center. 

Each month Denis acquires food for the learning center and arranges activities for the local children who come to the Center. 

In addition to his responsibilities for First Counsel Giving, Inc. Denis is employed at a local factory, and he plays football (soccer) for a local team.
